This is just stupid: OP complains that Obama didn’t endorse a complete overhaul of US family law to incorporate polyamorous relationships.

Leave aside that that would be politically untenable and massively increase the chances of his losing to Romney; even if this were within the realm of the possible, there is no legal blueprint for doing so. No-one is talking about this issue seriously, there is no consensus or set of competing models for such a reform. OP is asking that Obama endorse non-existent legislation that no-one is seriously discussing (and if you think I’m wrong, show me the model legislation that you’re working on).
